Welcome To The Armfield Club
Why? We have not had a supporters club in Blackpool in Blackpool for Years
We think everyone would agree that we were way overdue for somewhere to go to meet other fans and socialise with people with the same interest in the mighty pool. Have drinks and talk about away days / home games, Wembley trips. The good times and the bad. The funny times. The not so funny times etc
Certain times ripped the supporters and this community apart.
We want all supporters groups, friends and family to be part of the Armfield club.
Named after a true Blackpool Legend.
Come and join us. - Everyone is Welcome
We are pleased to announce that The Armfield project is now officially underway.
After 3 months of detailed negotiations the necessary paperwork is signed and in place, the power and water is now on and so the 'real' work begins.
So far we have relied on the generosity and goodwill of friends and local tradesmen (all BFC fans) to get initial stages of the site clearance and refurbishment of the 3 floors underway.
In order to finance the next stage we need this goodwill to continue. We welcome any assistance from the local community and will be putting together a number of sponsorship and advertising options.
These will include opportunities to sponsor one of the three bars and the themed War Room, the 1,000 membership cards, advertise your company on internal digital screens, posters and in time a large external digital screen.
If any local businesses are interested please can they make contact by email or phone Andy Higgins on 07809 556422.
The most common pieces of advice we have received during this period have varied between the downright negative such as .... 'sheer madness, you must be crazy setting up a club at a time like this' and the slightly less negative ... 'it's a great idea and I wish you luck but it will probably fail just like it did with the previous tenants'.
Being from Blackpool we all like a challenge and maybe that's the kind of encouragement we needed.
We are a single minded group of lifelong BFC supporters who are self financing this operation and determined to deliver a supporters club that the fan base, the club and local community can be proud of.
